Mourns the death of Mother Mary Angelica of the Annunciation, founder of the Eternal Word Television Network, who died on March 27, 2016, at age 92.

Recognizes that Mother Mary Angelica was born Rita Rizzo on April 20, 1923, in Canton, Ohio, and entered the PCPA monastery on August 15, 1944, taking her religious name.

Acknowledges her founding of Our Lady of the Angels Monastery in Irondale, Alabama (consecrated May 2, 1962) and the Eternal Word Television Network (launched 1981), which broadcasts 24-hour programming to more than 264 million homes in 144 countries.

Notes that Mother Mary Angelica lost her ability to speak after a cerebral hemorrhage in 2001, was named Abbess Emeritus in 2009, and received the Pro Ecclesia et Pontificae Award.

Expresses the Alabama House of Representatives' gratitude for her life and legacy, offering this resolution as tribute and sympathy to her loved ones.
