Mourns the death of Eva Hines, who was born in Mobile County as the seventh of ten children to Elder Walse L. and Ola Paige and began her preaching ministry at age fourteen.

Eva Hines was married to Robert L. Hines for forty-four years and together they reared one son, Johnnie; she traveled and sang with gospel groups including The Gospel Extravaganza, Azalea Singers, and The Holy Corinthians.

Survived by one son Johnnie (Diane) Paige, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one sister Daisy (Eddie) Hines, two devoted spiritual sons, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

House of Representatives records Eva Hines's death with deep sadness while celebrating her life as a valued community member loved by many.
