Recognizes Officer Larry Sharpley of the Decatur Police Department as a nominee for the 2016 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement.

On May 23, 2015, Officer Sharpley responded to an emergency call when a pickup truck drove into Flint Creek with the driver, Shane Edge, trapped inside the submerging vehicle.

Officer Sharpley, along with Sergeant John Sharp and Officer James Harton, entered the water, broke the windshield, and rescued Mr. Edge from the vehicle.

Directs that Officer Sharpley receive a copy of the resolution as evidence of the House's admiration and esteem for his courageous actions and dedication to protecting residents.
