Notes her background as native of Ensley, 1968 graduate of Western Olin-High School, and holder of Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Alabama State University after 13 years as probation officer.

Highlights her progression from Assistant Principal at Parker High School to Principal of Glen Middle School and current position as Principal of Wenonah High School, where she transformed the school into an academic leader in math and science with programs including Robotics, Oratorical Team, and Academy of Hospitality and Tourism.

Commends her 2003 establishment of the annual Unity Breakfast bringing together educational stakeholders, state officials, parents, and community leaders, and her recognition as one of Birmingham's Top 40 Influential Women in 2012.

Awards her official commendation from the Alabama House of Representatives for her tireless dedication, exceptional abilities, and record of excellence as an academic leader.
