Recognizes Corporal Joshua Troop Himes of the Mobile Police Department as a nominee for the 2016 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement.

On July 20, 2015, Corporal Himes responded as first responder to a shooting accident involving a 3-year-old victim with a head injury and promptly transported the child and mother to the hospital.

Corporal Himes visited the child and family at the hospital during recovery and surrounded the child's bed with stuffed animals; the child made a miraculous recovery largely due to his quick action and clearheaded judgment.

Corporal Himes demonstrated courage, diligence, and quick response in a life-threatening situation and continued to follow up and support the child and family towards recovery.

Directs that Corporal Himes receive a copy of the resolution as evidence of the House of Representatives' admiration and esteem.
