Recognizes that Lee's novel "To Kill A Mockingbird," published July 11, 1960, won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1961 and has sold more than 40 million copies worldwide.

Notes that Lee's second novel "Go Set A Watchman" was published July 14, 2015, and became an immediate best-seller, bringing increased publicity and visitors to Monroeville.

Acknowledges Lee received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President George W. Bush in 2007 and the National Medal of Arts from President Barack Obama in 2010.

Declares that the House of Representatives honors Lee's contributions to the literary world and celebrates her life and legacy.
