Commends Lacy Stafford, a senior at Geneva County High School, for winning the Alabama Sports Writers Association's Class 2A Player of the Year Award in girls basketball for the second consecutive year.

Stafford averaged 19.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 4.0 steals per game during the season and was named the Dothan Eagle Player of the Year.

Over five varsity seasons, Stafford accumulated 3,045 points, 1,063 rebounds, 614 assists, and 579 steals while making 328 three-pointers.

Stafford earned five all-state selections, five Dothan Eagle Super 12 honors, and the High School Heisman award; her team compiled a 120-30 record and finished as state runner-up.

The House of Representatives honors Stafford and extends best wishes for continued success in future endeavors.
