Sue Underwood is commended for her outstanding professional achievement upon retirement as a third grade teacher from Kingwood Christian School at the end of the 2015-2016 school year.

Mrs. Underwood served 25 years with Kingwood Christian School, beginning in August 1991, positively impacting countless students as a teacher, mentor, and friend.

She contributed significantly to the school through committee service, leadership roles, and providing homemade cakes for faculty and staff celebrations as a member of the Sunshine Committee.

Mrs. Underwood developed hands-on learning curriculum incorporating Native American culture that culminates in activities and presentations for students' families, demonstrating exceptional dedication to education.

The House of Representatives honors and commends Sue Underwood for her tireless dedication, exceptional abilities, and unwavering commitment to excellence in education that has reflected credit upon the State of Alabama.
