Honors Herman Austin "Buck" Watson, Jr., of Huntsville, Alabama, who passed away on January 26, 2016, at age 82.

Recognizes his athletic career at Vanderbilt University (1951-1955) as a football player earning the nickname "60-Minute Man" and holding the SEC record with 55 average minutes per game, and his professional play for the Calgary Stampeders in the Canadian Football League.

Acknowledges his legal career including graduation from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1961, establishment of a law practice in Lafayette, and his national reputation as an advocate for justice, along with his memberships in professional legal organizations and service on multiple boards.

Notes his service as a history teacher and coach at Lafayette High School, his inductions into the Madison County and DeKalb County Sports Halls of Fame, and his active involvement with Epworth United Methodist Church as a Sunday School teacher and lay leader.

Expresses condolences to his surviving family including his wife Janet Mangham Watson, six children, and sixteen grandchildren, while celebrating his legacy and valued contributions to the community.
