Amends Section 8-19-14 of the Code of Alabama 1975 regarding the Deceptive Trade Practices Act statute of limitations.

Changes the primary statute of limitations from one year to four years from the date of the transaction giving rise to the cause of action.

Maintains a discovery rule allowing actions within one year after a person discovers or reasonably should have discovered the deceptive practice, but not to exceed four years from the transaction date.

For contracts or warranties lasting more than three years, provides that actions may be brought within one year of contract/warranty expiration or four years after discovery of the act or practice, whichever occurs first.

Takes effect on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
