• Authorizes Alabama residents to purchase distinctive state parks license plates for private passenger or pleasure motor vehicles by paying an additional annual fee of $50.

• Plates remain valid for five years and are issued, printed, and processed like other distinctive and personalized plates under Alabama law.

• Department of Conservation and Natural Resources shall design the plate, with approval required from the Department of Revenue and the Legislative Oversight Committee for License Plates prior to production.

• All additional revenues from the sale of state parks license plates are distributed to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources for use and benefit of the State Park System.

• Act becomes effective January 1, 2017, with appropriations to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources beginning October 1, 2017.
