Alabama Department of Public Health may not issue or renew a health center license to an abortion clinic or reproductive health center that performs abortions located within 2,000 feet of a public school property or campus.

Defines "public school" as kindergarten through grade 12 institutions operated under the State Board of Education.

Applies to both initial issuance and renewal of health center licenses for abortion clinics and reproductive health centers performing abortions.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor, or when otherwise becoming law.
