SB 211 Summary

• Allows licensed breweries manufacturing less than 60,000 barrels of beer per year to sell up to 288 ounces of beer per day directly to consumers for off-premises consumption.

• Allows licensed brewpubs to sell up to 288 ounces of beer per day to customers for off-premises consumption in sealed, packaged, and labeled containers.

• Permits both breweries and brewpubs to donate up to two kegs of beer to licensed charitable events operated by nonprofit organizations.

• Removes location restrictions on brewpubs, eliminating the requirement that they be situated only in historic buildings, historic districts, economically distressed areas, or counties where beer was brewed before Prohibition.

• Requires all beer sold for off-premises consumption to be sealed, packaged, labeled, and taxed in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.
