• Provides a six percent salary increase for certificated K-12 personnel at city and county school systems beginning fiscal year 2016-2017, with increases applied to all steps of the State Minimum Salary Schedule.

• Grants six percent pay increases to education support personnel (K-12) and adult bus drivers beginning fiscal year 2016-2017, in addition to any state or local step increases.

• Extends six percent salary increases to employees at the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, the Board of Youth Services School District, the Alabama School of Fine Arts, and the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science for fiscal year 2016-2017.

• Requires the Board of Trustees of the Community College System to revise all two-year postsecondary institution salary schedules to reflect a six percent increase for fiscal year 2016-2017, with pay increases capped at six percent except as specifically authorized.

• Excludes superintendent salary increases from automatic provisions, requiring majority recorded vote of the governing body; establishes miscellaneous provisions for extended work, local increments, and community education programs.
