• Grants 5% salary increase to certificated K-12 employees at city and county school systems and Department of Youth Services School District beginning fiscal year 2016-2017, with increases applied based on years of experience and degrees earned on the State Minimum Salary Schedule.

• Provides 5% pay increase to education support personnel (K-12), including adult bus drivers and Adult Basic Education employees, beginning fiscal year 2016-2017, with separate salary schedules established for each job classification.

• Extends 5% salary increases for fiscal year 2016-2017 to employees of the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, Board of Youth Services School District, Alabama School of Fine Arts, and Alabama School of Mathematics and Science.

• Requires two-year postsecondary institutions under the Community College System to increase all salary schedules by 5% for fiscal year 2016-2017, with increases given in addition to any step increases earned.
