SB277 Summary

• Adopts and incorporates into the Code of Alabama 1975 all general and permanent laws enacted during the 2015 Regular Session as contained in the 2015 Cumulative Supplements to Volumes 3-11A, 12B-13A, and 15A-22A, plus 2015 Replacement Volumes 12, 12A, 14, and 14A.

• Adopts initial 2015 Volume 22J (Local Laws Lamar to Lee Counties) and 2015 Cumulative Supplements to local law volumes covering counties 22B-22I.

• Deletes Section 29-6-2.1 from the Code of Alabama and designates Part 2 of Article 22 of Chapter 37 of Title 45 as "reserved" to eliminate duplicative language.

• Declares that Thomson Reuters, as Code Publisher, has certified it properly edited and published the 2015 Replacement Volumes using only nonsubstantive changes under Code Commissioner direction.

• Directs the Secretary of State to receive, file, and maintain custody of all authenticated cumulative supplements and replacement volumes, with authority to certify portions upon request for applicable fees.
