Amends Section 31-12-2 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to extend employment and reemployment protections to members of the national guard of other states who are employed in Alabama.

Expands coverage to include both Alabama National Guard members and out-of-state national guard members called to state active duty or federally funded duty during war, armed conflict, or emergencies proclaimed by the Governor or President.

Removes the 30-day consecutive duty requirement that was previously in law, making protections applicable regardless of duty duration.

Applies the federal Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) and the federal Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act to eligible members.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
