Levies annual fire protection service fees of $50 per residence and $100 per commercial business in the Tallassee Fire District to fund volunteer fire protection and emergency medical services.

Exempts persons age 65 or older from property taxes in Tallapoosa County and persons under 65 with annual gross income of $12,000 or less (primary residence only) from paying the fee.

Establishes a special county fire services fund to collect fees, with Tallapoosa County Commission retaining 3 percent for collection costs and distributing remaining funds to Tallassee Volunteer Fire Fighters Association and Fire Company, Inc. within 30 days.

Restricts fund expenditures to fire protection services, emergency medical services, training, supplies, equipment, and liability insurance; prohibits spending on salaries, food, alcohol, or social activities.

Act is void and inoperative unless approved by Tallassee City Council and by majority vote of qualified electors in the Tallassee Fire District at a referendum held on the same day as the next countywide election.
