SB400 Summary

• Replaces the fixed 18-hour continuing education requirement for licensed chiropractors with a flexible amount to be determined by board rule.

• Allows chiropractors to carry over excess continuing education hours completed in one year to the next license renewal period, for use within one year.

• Maintains existing license renewal requirements including September 30 renewal deadline, grace period through December 31, and renewal fees not to exceed $400.

• Retains late renewal penalties ($100 in October, $200 in November, $300 in December) and automatic suspension if not renewed by January 1.

• Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
