SB62 Summary

• Amends Alabama Code Sections 9-11-244 and 9-11-245 to allow hunters to take whitetail deer or feral swine using bait.

• Exempts whitetail deer and feral swine from the general prohibition on using bait to hunt birds and animals protected by Alabama law.

• Removes "baited field" from the list of prohibited hunting methods in Section 9-11-245 as applied to whitetail deer and feral swine.

• Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
