SB65 Summary

• Amends Section 27-25-3 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to exempt licensed attorneys from title insurance agent licensure requirements by the State Insurance Department.

• Adds new subsection (c) to the definition of "title agent" or "agent" clarifying that attorneys licensed by the Alabama State Bar are not included and are exempt from any licensure or regulation under this chapter.

• Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor, or upon otherwise becoming law.
