Amends Section 20-2-213 of the Alabama Code to remove veterinarians from entities required to report dispensing of Class II through Class V controlled substances to the Controlled Substances Prescription Database.

Currently, veterinarians who dispense controlled substances for administration to animals are subject to the same reporting requirements as physicians, dentists, podiatrists, and optometrists.

The bill deletes references to veterinarians from the list of practitioners covered by the reporting provision while maintaining reporting requirements for other medical practitioners.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
