Alabama Legislature unequivocally denounces and rejects the international Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) Movement and any furtherance of this movement in the state.

Legislature rejects activities that contribute directly or indirectly to delegitimization of Israel as a Jewish State, including economic, cultural, and academic boycotts against Israel.

Legislature reaffirms support for Israel as a Jewish State, recognizes Jewish people as indigenous to the land of Israel, supports Israel's right to self-defense, and opposes attempts to economically and politically isolate Israel.

Resolution cites Alabama's 1943 unanimous joint resolution supporting establishment of a Jewish state and expresses concern about anti-Israel and anti-Semitic activities on university campuses and in professional associations.

Directs copies of the resolution be forwarded to the President of the United States, Alabama's Congressional delegation, governors of all states, and the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C.
