Amends Alabama Code Sections 32-5A-150, 32-5A-151, and 32-5A-152 to extend railroad grade crossing safety requirements to apply when "other on-track equipment" is approaching, not just railroad trains.

Requires drivers to stop 15-50 feet from railroad tracks and remain stopped when electric signals, crossing gates, human flagmen, or audible warnings within 1,500 feet indicate approach of trains or on-track equipment.

Applies same stopping and safety requirements to operators of heavy equipment (crawler-type tractors, steam shovels, derricks, rollers) with operating speeds of 10 mph or less before crossing railroad tracks.

Violations remain misdemeanors with same criminal penalties as existing law.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
