HB289 Summary

• Washington County Commission may establish a mail renewal fee of up to $5 for business licenses renewed by mail, collected and deposited in the Washington County Probate Judge Fund.

• Washington County probate office shall charge a $3 convenience fee per transaction for motor vehicle license plate registration renewals made on the Internet or by other electronic means, deposited in the Washington County Probate Judge Fund.

• The act becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
