AL HB30

Requires each county to designate and provide at least one early voting center where registered voters may vote during a 4-6 day period immediately preceding election day.

Establishes early voting center hours of operation: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays, and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays.

Allows county governing bodies to determine which specific days centers will be open (within the 4-6 day window) and to configure boundaries if multiple centers are established.

Clarifies that the act does not impair existing powers and duties of boards of registrars, judges of probate, and other election officials, nor does it affect election day voting procedures.

Requires the Secretary of State to adopt rules pursuant to the Administrative Procedure Act to implement the early voting requirements.
