Marion County Judge of Probate shall be compensated on a salary basis beginning January 2019, equal to 80 percent of the state district court judge's annual compensation, paid monthly from the county general fund.

Judge of Probate shall assume all duties related to issuance of motor vehicle license plates and assessment and collection of ad valorem taxes on motor vehicles, previously performed by the revenue commissioner.

Revenue commissioner is relieved of motor vehicle tax duties, and all related commissions and fees shall be received by the Judge of Probate and remitted to the county general fund.

Marion County Commission shall provide the Judge of Probate with office personnel, clerks, deputies, quarters, equipment, supplies, and other resources necessary to conduct the office and one-stop tax office.

All fees, commissions, allowances, and charges allowable to the Judge of Probate shall be collected and paid into the county general fund.
