Requires local school boards to include information about influenza disease and its vaccine whenever they provide parents and guardians with information on immunizations, infectious diseases, medications, or other school health issues for students in grades K through 12.

Mandates that influenza information include a description of causes, symptoms, and means of transmission; a list of sources for additional information; and related recommendations from the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.

Directs the Department of Education, in cooperation with the Department of Public Health, to develop and make available the required influenza information to local school systems in an efficient manner, including posting on its website.

Provides immunity from civil liability for school boards, board members, and employees for acts or omissions in implementing the section requirements.

Clarifies that the information shall not establish medical standards of care or modify existing Alabama Medical Liability Acts.
