Amends Section 16-24C-11 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to apply employment termination notice requirements exclusively to public K-12 teachers, removing the requirements for postsecondary education employees.

Increases the written notice required for K-12 teachers to terminate employment at any time other than the 30-day pre-term blackout period from 5 days to 30 days.

Maintains the existing prohibition preventing tenured public K-12 teachers from terminating employment within 30 calendar days before the first day of the next school term for students unless mutually agreed upon.

Makes violation of the termination notice requirements unprofessional conduct, allowing the State Superintendent of Education to revoke or suspend the teaching certificate of violating teachers.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
