A municipal magistrate or judge in the City of Taylor, Houston County may assess a $50 warrant recall fee to defendants seeking to recall a failure to appear or failure to comply warrant.

The $50 fee must be paid by the defendant at the time the warrant is recalled.

Warrant recall remains discretionary with the municipal judge or magistrate; the city is not required to recall any issued warrant.

All fees collected shall be deposited into the City of Taylor Corrections Fund and allocated according to Section 11-47-7.1 of the Alabama Code.

This act becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
