The Baldwin County Sheriff receives an additional expense allowance of $20,000 per annum, payable in equal monthly installments from the county's general fund, effective immediately upon passage.

Beginning when the current sheriff's term expires, the sheriff's annual salary increases by $20,000 per annum, payable in equal monthly installments from the county's general fund.

The $20,000 expense allowance in Section 1 becomes null and void once the salary increase in Section 2 takes effect at the expiration of the incumbent sheriff's term.

The act becomes effective immediately following passage and approval by the Governor, or upon otherwise becoming law.
