• Transfers all land surveyor licensing and regulatory authority from the existing State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors to the new land surveyor board, including all property, records, and responsibilities related to land surveyor licensure.

• Renames the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors as the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers, which retains authority over professional engineer licensing and regulation.

• Automatically transfers all existing land surveyor licenses, certificates, and certificates of authorization from the engineers board to the new land surveyors board, maintaining the same expiration and renewal dates.

• Provides for equitable division and transfer of funds from the Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors Fund to separate Professional Engineers Fund and Professional Land Surveyors Fund, with the new board subject to the Alabama Sunset Law with a termination date of October 1, 2019, and every four years thereafter.
