Imposes a $30 booking fee on each person booked into Calhoun County Jail and subsequently convicted of a crime, in addition to any fines, court costs, or other charges.

Court clerk enters the fee on the docket sheet and collects it in the same manner and time as court costs, though it is not classified as a court cost.

Distributes revenue from the fee as follows: $15 to the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department Law Enforcement Fund, $10 to the Circuit Clerk's Office Judicial Administration Fund, and $5 to the Calhoun County General Fund.

Authorizes the district attorney to assist in collection of unpaid fees as court-ordered moneys, and permits the sheriff to contract for collection services and pay a portion of fees as collection costs.

Sheriff may withhold moneys from incarcerated persons equal to the booking fee amount; if no conviction results, withheld funds must be repaid after dismissal of charges or acquittal.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
