Increases Chilton County Sheriff's additional expense allowance from $15,000 to $15,900 per annum effective November 1, 2017, payable in equal biweekly installments from county general fund.

Sets annual sheriff salary at $70,000 per annum beginning with expiration of incumbent sheriff's term, payable in equal monthly installments from county general fund.

Requires sheriff candidates to be U.S. citizens, Chilton County residents for at least one year, registered voters for at least one year, and possess high school diploma or GED equivalence.

Mandates sheriff candidates have at least five years of prior law enforcement experience with arrest authority, be at least 25 years old, never convicted of a felony, and certified by the Peace Officers' Standards and Training Commission.

Requires the elected Sheriff of Chilton County to complete minimum 12 hours of annual executive level continuing education approved by Alabama or National Sheriff's Association, with certification filed by December 1 each year.
