Commends Miniya I. Ali of Huntsville, Alabama, for being selected as Alabama's first Global Citizen Year Fellow.

Recognizes Ali's selection to participate in Global Citizen Year, a non-profit program that immerses outstanding young leaders in community service abroad following high school graduation.

Notes that Ali will complete one week of intensive training at Stanford University before traveling to Senegal, West Africa, for an 8-month community apprenticeship in fields such as education, health, and the environment.

Acknowledges that through training and coaching from expert Team Leaders, fellows develop confidence, skills, and purpose to prepare them for success in college.

House adopted the resolution on March 15, 2017, and the Senate adopted it on March 16, 2017.
