• Recognizes the 25th Annual Delta Day at the Alabama State Capitol on Thursday, April 6, 2017, and commends Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

• Acknowledges Delta Sigma Theta as a sisterhood founded on January 13, 1913, by 22 collegiate women at Howard University, now with more than 250,000 members in over 1,000 chapters throughout the United States and abroad.

• Highlights the sorority's national Five Point Program: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement.
