AL HJR22

Establishes the Alabama Legislative Prayer Caucus as a nonpartisan organization offering legislators regular opportunities to seek God's wisdom and blessing for Alabama and the nation.

Membership is voluntary and open to any Alabama State Senator or House Representative at no cost, with a Chair elected annually by members.

First meeting convened upon call of the Speaker of the House, with meetings and business affairs held in the Alabama State House when practicable, though alternate locations may be designated by the Chair.

Authorizes the Alabama Legislative Prayer Caucus to coordinate its programs and meetings with the Congressional Prayer Caucus, which was established in 2005 by U.S. House members.

Resolution to be transmitted to the Congressional Prayer Caucus and made available to members of the Alabama Senate and House of Representatives.
