Governor Robert Bentley is urged to revive the Governor's Office of Small Business Development, which is currently not operational at its intended level.

The office would provide proposals and measures to streamline efforts of governmental agencies assisting small businesses in becoming operational and successful.

A revitalized office would enhance communication of information and resources to promote the formation, operation, and growth of small businesses throughout Alabama.

Citizens and prospective small business owners should have access to strategic information, direction, and assistance from the office.

A copy of the resolution shall be presented to the Governor to demonstrate the legislature's sincere and continuing interest in this matter.
