Honors Grace McClure Smith on her 90th birthday celebration on May 5, 2017; born May 5, 1927, in Toney, Alabama, one of five siblings.

Married Calvin B. Smith, Sr. at age 16 for 62 years until his death; together they reared seven children, 16 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

Worked as a school bus driver for Monrovia School starting in her forties, driving full-time for 20 years and as a substitute driver for 10 years.

Known for walking three days each week at Monrovia Community Center, maintaining a garden on Wall Triana Highway, and making chocolate pies.

Alabama House and Senate adopted the resolution to honor and commend Mrs. Smith on her 90th birthday; House adopted 04-MAY-17, Senate adopted 09-MAY-17.
