Commends the members of the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force of the Southern District of Alabama for meritorious actions in apprehending dangerous criminals.

Task force established in 2006 partners the United States Marshals Service with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies in Alabama and Mississippi to apprehend violent felons.

Recognizes specific operations including the May 4, 2016 apprehension of an armed felon who shot a homeowner and two-year-old child in Mount Vernon, Alabama, as well as January 29, 2016 and December 9, 2015 apprehensions of murder suspects and fugitives.

Task force members demonstrated courage and quick response in life-threatening situations, with all three highlighted operations resulting only in suspect dog bite injuries and no officer injuries.

Directs that members of the task force receive a copy of the resolution as evidence of legislative admiration and esteem for their service and commitment to protecting Alabama residents.
