Commends Coach William Hawkins on his induction into The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Hall of Champions, established in 1991.

Coach Hawkins joined the FCA ministry 50 years ago and served as an FCA leader at the local level for three decades, providing Christian guidance at multiple high schools where he coached football.

Has been retired for 25 years and continues mentoring young athletes, helping start FCA huddles at Jefferson County schools and sending athletes to FCA camps.

Recognized as a Gardendale, Alabama resident whose influence strengthened FCA presence in North Central Alabama while instilling character, resilience, and hard work in young people.

House adopted the resolution on February 16, 2017, and Senate adopted it on February 21, 2017.
