Commends Lindsey Waggoner, a Pelham, Alabama native and high school senior, for being named a U.S. Presidential Scholar candidate.

Recognizes that Waggoner was one of only 89 students in Alabama selected as a U.S. Presidential Scholar candidate through her hard work and commitment to excellence.

Notes her achievement of scoring a perfect 36 on the ACT as a junior in 2016 and her status as a National Merit Scholarship Program semifinalist.

Highlights that she is a flutist in the Music Department at the Alabama School of Fine Arts in Birmingham and will attend Auburn University on a full tuition scholarship to pursue aerospace engineering.

The Legislature honors and commends Waggoner for her achievements and extends best wishes for her future success.
