• Recognizes Red Bay Hospital for 50 years of service to the Red Bay community and surrounding areas in Northwest Alabama and Northeast Mississippi since its inception in 1967.

• Red Bay Hospital received Critical Access Hospital status in 2005 from the State of Alabama and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, making it one of only four such hospitals in Alabama.

• Hospital is a non-profit facility owned and operated by the Colbert County-Northwest Alabama Health Care Authority and is committed to providing cost-effective care with access for all in need.

• The Legislature of Alabama honors and commends Red Bay Hospital with this resolution, offering admiration and appreciation along with best wishes for future endeavors.
