Congratulates Maplesville High School Football Team on winning the AHSAA Class 1A State Football Championship for the third consecutive year.

Team defeated Pickens County 40-12 in the championship game and extended their winning streak to 23 games.

Senior running back Terence Dunlap earned the state title game's most valuable player honor for the third consecutive season.

Team previously won championships in 2014 with a 49-0 victory over Hubbertville and in 2015 with a 59-24 victory over Cedar Bluff Tigers.

Coach Brent Hubbert is recognized for providing expert leadership and guidance to the program.
