House Resolution mourning the death of Mr. Wilburn "W.T." Davenport of Hokes Bluff, Alabama, who passed away on January 31, 2017, at age 81

Mr. Davenport was born April 12, 1935, in Altoona, Alabama, and graduated from Altoona High School Class of 1955 as senior class president and all-state football player

Served two years in the United States Army and had a 40-year career with Goodyear, including roles as Union Representative, Division Chairman, President of Local 12, and Director of District 8 United Steel Workers for 19 years before retiring in 2006

Survived by his wife of 62 years Shirley Davenport, son Greg, daughter Sharon, and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren
