Highlights Alexis Herman, a Mobile native who was the first African American woman to serve as Director of the White House Office of Public Liaison under President Carter

Recognizes Lilly Ledbetter, an Alabama native who fought for equal pay after discovering she was paid significantly less than men for the same work, leading to the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act becoming federal law in 2009
