Mourns the death of Mr. Shannon Sloan of Albertville, Alabama, who died on February 12, 2017, at age 86.

Recognizes Mr. Sloan's distinguished career as a basketball, track, golf, and assistant football coach at Albertville High School.

Honors his military service in the United States Army during the Korean War, for which he received the Korean Service Medal, three Bronze Stars, and the UN Service Medal.

Acknowledges his 1999 induction into the Alabama High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame and 2002 induction into the Marshall County Sports Hall of Fame Charter Class.

Expresses gratitude for his abundant life, his service to the community, and offers sympathy to his surviving family members and friends.
