Honors the Original Caldwell Singers of Seale, Alabama for over 40 years of exceptional service in the gospel music industry.

Reverend John Caldwell and his nine siblings founded the gospel group in the late 1960s in rural Russell County and performed at funerals and special events throughout their community and across the country.

Russell County Commission named Russell County Road 22 in honor of the Original Caldwell Singers, with recognition received from President Barack Obama and a historical marker to be placed at the family's former homestead.

The Alabama House of Representatives officially commends the Original Caldwell Singers for their inspiring legacy of giving back through gospel music and their positive impact on the State of Alabama.
