Judge John David Snodgrass of Huntsville, Alabama died on February 3, 2017, at age 78.

Earned Bachelor of Science degree from University of Alabama and Law Degree from University of Alabama School of Law.

Served as attorney at Ford, Caldwell, Ford and Payne beginning in 1963, elected to Alabama State Legislature in 1966, and appointed Judge in Twenty-third Judicial Circuit in 1968; served as Presiding Judge from 1973 to 1989.

Served as president of Alabama Association of Circuit Judges and Chairman of Board of Directors of National Judicial College; joined Balch Bingham law firm in 1989 and retired in 1995 to serve as arbitration mediator.

House of Representatives honors his memory and expresses sympathy to his surviving wife of 44 years Carla Jones Snodgrass, two children, and three grandchildren.
