Commends John David Scott of Alexander City, Alabama, on his distinguished career and retirement on April 30, 2017.

Recognizes Mr. Scott's 31-year tenure with the Alexander City Housing Authority, during which he served as Deputy Director from February 2, 1996, until becoming Executive Director on October 1, 2012.

Acknowledges his active involvement in the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Organization, the Southeastern Regional Council, and the Alabama Association of Housing and Redevelopment Authority (AAHRA), serving as Legislative Committee Chair for AAHRA from 2015 through 2017.

Notes his service in the Alabama National Guard from 1971 through 1977 and his roles as founding President of the Boys' and Girls' Clubs of the Lake Martin Area and founding Chair of the Central Alabama Development Corporation.

Directs that Mr. Scott receive a copy of the resolution in recognition of his outstanding public service and commitment to community youth and well-being.
